A growing child means eventually outgrowing the original Surestep SMO. Our Big Shot is the perfect solution for older children who still need stability.
The Surestep Big Shot incorporates a flexible, plastic outer frame and a molded inner boot that provides the compression and stability that children exceeding 80 lbs need.
Big enough to graduate from our SMO, but not yet ready for the Big Shot? The Surestep Big Shot Lite is what your child needs. This version is built for children from 50 to 90 lbs. The Big Shot Lite ensures that children who need developmental assistance have it at every step of their lives.
Indications:
- Pronation
- Low muscle tone (Hypotonia)
- Triplanar instability in weight bearing
- Inability to stand independently
- Mild toe-walking
Contraindications:
- High muscle tone
- Spasticity
- Severe toe-walking
Dynamic Stability:
These devices provide stability while allowing for flexibility/movement and address atypical tone. Patients are able to actively correct when cued.
Modifications:
- For toe walking
- Into an AFO
- For clubfoot
- For metatarsus adductus (reverse trim lines)
